y-y'=m(x-x') where m is the slope and (x',y') are the points

@toristar9504 Are you here now on this thread?

Directrix (directrix):

In pizzapi's work, --> y-y'=m(x-x') x' = 8 and y' = -8 and m = 3. So fill in the equation y - (-8) = 3(x -8) Crank out that equation Which do you think it is?

C?

Directrix (directrix):

@toristar9504 Here's the tricky thing. y - (-8) = what. Watch those double signs. It makes a big difference in which one of these options: C)y – 8 = 3 (x – 8) D)y + 8 = 3 (x – 8) So, y - (-8) = ? Let me know.

i'm horrible with math :c

Directrix (directrix):

y - (-8) = y + 8. So, which option is it? Not C but ? We have all been horrible at math at one time or another. But, we keep on working. What option has the (y + 8) and the (x - 8)?

Directrix (directrix):

Take a guess. @toristar9504
