you can take the parenthesis off since it's all just plus signs
8x^2 + 17x + 6x^2
then combine like terms to get 14x^2+ 17x

So you're just combining the terms and you can take the parenthesis out again and follow the same process as above.
13x^2 + 5x + 8x^2 combine like terms (13x^2 + 8x^2) + 5x 21x^2 + 5x
\[26xy - 39y divided by 13y\] ?
26xy - 39 divided by 13y
