Please help Find the vertex of the parabola f(x)=x^2-4x-10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the first derivative of \(f(x)\) first, \(\frac{df(x)}{dx}\). From here, you'll end up with a value of \(x\). Plug that \(x\) to \(f(x)\) find \(y\). :)

So far I got 2,-26 which is not right and I cant figure out how I got it wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got (2,-14) with that method.
