You can't balance this equation, any more than you could balance \[{\rm H}_2{\rm O} \rightarrow {\rm OH}^{-}\]. You've got a CN- appearing out of nowhere.

Perhaps you were under the impression that any chemical equation in which every element on the RHS appears on the LHS can be balanced. That is not the case, and you have an example of why not.
