9. The function f(x) = −|x − b| intersects g(x) = 2(x − 4)^2 at exactly one point. The value of b is: A. −5 B. −4 C. 5 D. 4 E. Any real number

hello any number because ; -/x-b/<=0 2(x-4)^2>=0

I'm thinking it has to be 4 because the vertex of the parabola g(x) is at (4,0). Since the question says f(x) and g(x) intersect at exactly one point, then the vertex of the absolute value function must be at the same place, (4, 0) and also because f(x) opens downwards.
