To be educated does not necessarily mean achieving via the conventional standards of learning, i.e. school. To be educated means, in my opinion, that a person understands things through a worldview perspective, and fits into one of the different types of intelligences ( see: http://psychology.about.com/od/educationalpsychology/ss/multiple-intell_2.htm) and achieves either on a personal or professional level.
