A=P+I

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is no way to solve that question... is there something missing?

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Amount = Principal + Interest. So what's the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YES........ THE QUESTION IS MISSING

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is the question in the Algebra 1 book.

OpenStudy (shane_b):

That's not a question though...it's a statement.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The back of the book says the answer is I=A-P I don't know how they got that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Subtract P from both sides and then you have I=A+P

OpenStudy (shane_b):

I = A-P is just solving A=P+I, for I. That must have been the question :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think so. So how can it be solved?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can't solve anything without numbers...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you!

OpenStudy (shane_b):

@Dido525: You can solve for a variable...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Erm... Yeah oops.
