What is the 8th term of the geometric sequence 1, -4, 16, ...? i got 4,096 as my answer.......?
shouldnt it be negative? first term is positive, 2nd term is negative odd terms are positive, even terms are negative
oh my mistake. so it would be -4096?
1 -4 16 -64 256 -1024 4096 -16384 <-?

nth term = (-4)^(n-1) n=8 -4^7 =-16384
