What is a difference between authorizatn and authenticatn??? can anybody explain... Plz don't send any link as an answer...

even though this is a linguistics thing authentication is a way to certify that you are the person you claim to be. For example: I claim to be John Smith, internet cannot certify that because internet sees me for the first time, so it tells me "proove it" and i have to type in a password. Authorization actually means access. I am authorized to use x, means that i am given the abillity to acces and/or edit x in any way, by x's owner.
