help? What is an equation of the line, in point-slope form, that passes through the given point and has the given slope? point: (8, –8); slope: 3 my answer is y + 8 = 3 (x – 8) am i right?

Yes. You may want to reduce it down to the form y = mx+b though. Further, you can check just by plugging 8 into the x, which should give you -8 as your y.
