substituion y= 1/2x +3 y= 5-x

If you wanted to use substitution to solve for x, you would plug the y in one equation into the other. So, you would have: 1/2x + 3 = 5 - x. Rearrange terms and you'll have solved for x. Also, is this a continuation of your last problem where I gave a hint?
