What is your definition for “death” and “life.” How does your definition compare to the current medical acceptance definition of “death” and “life?

Corpse formation is a characteristic of multicellular life, as I recall. Single cells can die too, but it's a bit different for them... I've squashed enough Paramecia in class. They burst open and the cytoplasm leaks out into the environment. Soon, there's not much left to show that they were ever there.
