hi my question is, How do I find the general solution of a ecuation which has x=5+2t and y=t where x and y are real numbers I think General equation is 5a+2at+tb=0 Am i right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x=5+2y\] this looks like a linear equation \[ax+by+c=0\]

OpenStudy (debashish):

Any point on the straight line x=5+2y is a solution...:)
