i will write steps, see whether u understand...
t^2 - 3t + 9/4 = 7+9/4
(t-3/2)^2 = (28+9)/4
(t-3/2)^2 = (37)/4
t-3/2 = sqrt{37/4}
can u proceed...?
hartnn (hartnn):
+ or -sqrt{37/4}
OpenStudy (anonymous):
add 3/2 to both sides?
hartnn (hartnn):
yes, but did u understand what i did ?
hartnn (hartnn):
u got 197 incorrect, it should be 37

yup i wrote the steps they are clear u square in the forth step and get t-2/2 on left and +/-sqrof 37/4
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes! that was the asnwer :) how do i get that?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
oh wait 7/1 +9/4?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
right
hartnn (hartnn):
because 7+9/4 = 37/4 and not 197/4
yes.
