A water tank has a base if 30 cubic meter. how much water does it contain when the water in it is 5.5 meters deep?

OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

Depends what shape the tank is.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cylinder

OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

the question doesn't make sense to me, 30 cubic meters is a volume, when it should be talking about surface area.

OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

Sorry, wish i could help you, but I think the question is wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Simonbane I'm sorry I can't help you because I don't understand the question.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

a couple of questions... and you sure the question says .." a water tank has a base of 30 cubic metres".... makes more sense if its 30 metres square... then if it is a prism or cylinder the volume is V = base area x height so it could be V = 30 x 5.5

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

or even 30 square metres.
