Graph the exponential function and state the domain and range. y = 5(x - 3)
this looks linear to me is the x-3 a power?
I don't think so hmm... :/
this is a straight line graph if it is how you wrote it
Which pic do you think 1 2 3 or 4
I think your talking about pic four
nope one second
oh sorry I'm a lil blind lol
|dw:1348395264636:dw|
yeah go with pic 4
you meant y=e^(5x-3) right
omg i hope not
No lol y = 5(x-3)
thats how the question is asked... with no e in it
no i jyst want to know she has written equation y=5x-3 and thats linear and she is posting exponential answers..just want to be sure of where we are going
i treated it as 5^(x-3) the only exponential i can find
I'm going with pic four :/
anyways the domain is all x values you can put it, im pretty sure you can put any x value into this so domain is all real numbers range is all the y values you gain from this, which is y>0
check for point (3,1)...when x=3 y=1...whichever garph satifies it should be the solution
Domain: (-8, 8) , Range: (0, 8) that for pic four I didn't put that with the pic, but thats the domain.
oops i feel dumb, i did 1/5 when i subbed in 3 for x
hmmm do you still think its pic four lol
he he...but i thing substituting 3,1 is the best bet bet here...finding domain and range will make it tedious
ahh which one guys :(
