(7)/(8)x-4=10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am guessing you are asking \[\frac{ 7}{ 8 }x-4=10\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(7)/(8)x-4=10 7/8 x = 14 7x = 14(8) x = 112/7 x = 16

solve please..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah micah got it, x=16. Just remember that to get rid of the denominator you must multiply it out so that it cancels out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If x is suppose to be in denominator, then 7/ (8x) - 4 = 10 7/ (8x) = 14 14(8x) = 7 112x = 7 x = 7/112 or 0.0625
