OpenStudy (frostbite):

anyone who can prove this is right? |sin(x)|<|x| for x≠0

OpenStudy (frostbite):

A person gave me this (see attachment): But what i don't understand is how the area is x/2

OpenStudy (phi):

area of the circle is pi*r^2 area of the sector is x/2pi * area of the circle

OpenStudy (frostbite):

and the triangle? don't we have one more side we don't know?

OpenStudy (phi):

the base is the radius= 1 height is radius*sin x

OpenStudy (frostbite):

Alrightie thank you.

OpenStudy (frostbite):

wait a sec just fast why is it that area of the sector is x/2pi * area of the circle?

OpenStudy (phi):

area of the sector is a fraction of the circle. example: if x= 2pi (360º) you get the whole circle. if x is pi (180º) you get half the circle. or in general x/2pi
