how many tens in 567

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\lfloor\frac{567}{10}\rfloor=56\]

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

567 = 5 hundreds, 6 tens, 7 ones = 5 x 10 tens, 6 tens, 7 ones = 50 tens, 6 tens, 7 ones = 56 tens, 7 ones

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you thats the entire question. how many tens, hundreds and ones can you get from the following number 567

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

np... :) your teacher wants u to become familiar wid positional values i think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so to answer thi question 56 tens 7 oness nd 0 hundreds

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me know if thats correct

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

i think she just wants to interpret the number : 5 hundreds, 6 tens, 7 ones

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

what u wrote there is also correct though 56 tens + 7 ones = 567

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we did that and she said it was wrong she gave an example here it is 753 she said 70 te ns in 700 5 tens in 50 and no tens from 3 that totals 75

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

gotcha

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

she wants this maybe : 567 : you can have 5 hundreds 567 : you can have 56 tens 567 : you can have 567 ones.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok makes sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):
