How does the shape of a plant cell differ from that of an animal cell?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Have you ever seen a plant cell and/or an animal cell?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but i don't know how they differ

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well... is there anything that you noticed about the plant cells that you saw? If you were to draw one, what shape would it be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rectangle, I guess

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right. They generally are quite boxy because of that cell wall. The animal cell wasn't, though, was it? Animal cells often have a rounder shape.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh ok. Thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem :)
