Which of the following is the simplified form of y^2-y-6/y^2-4? A: y-3/y-2 with restriction y ≠ ±2 B: y+3/y+2 with restriction y ≠ ±2 C: y-3/y-2 with restriction y ≠ 2 D: y+3/y+2 with restriction y ≠ -2

Directrix (directrix):

What is the purpose of the restrictions that are given?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Honestly I'm not sure. The question just asks for it, and it is the only one that is requiring a restriction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ y -3 }{ y -2 }\] \[y \neq \pm2\]
