Will has $32.80 to spend on school supplies. If he spends 3/4 of his money, how much does he have left?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We know that the fraction (3/4) can be written as the decimal 0.75. However, that is the money he has SPENT, and the money he has left can be represented by the fraction 1/4, or 0.25. We can multiply 32.80 by 0.25 to find Will's remaining money. If you plug this into a calculator, you will find that you get 8.2 So, Will has $8.20 remaining.

32.8 * 3/4 24.6 < thats how much he spent 32.8 - 24.6 = 8.2
