I want to learn Python for Maya. I am a complete noob at programming and anything coding. Where should I start? Suggestions on interactive tutorials other than codeacademy? THANKS! :)

To be honest, it seems in the couple of tests that I did that MEL is a faster executing language. Unless your going to be doing stuff that requires a full programming language, MEL is very possibly a better use of your time. There are some tutorials at www.python.org

Ohhh....ok thanks!!! :]

Second that. If you are a complete noob at programming you should start with MEL. A fast way to learn it is to study other ppl's code at some places like creativecrash or smth. Also check out PyMEL. It's a prettier integration of python and MEL
