A driver cannot exceed 62 mph when driving on the state highway. If she needs to travel 527 miles what is the range of values for her time spent driving.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let me get this straight. The question is asking how long the driver will get to their destination?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes how long will it take. I divide but its telling me its incorrect

OpenStudy (anonymous):

probably because u need to put it into an hours and minutes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well if that is the case, then you would divide like you said. What part are you getting wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and when u divide it you get the hours but the minutes are different since there is 60minutes in an hours

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know how to put it in hrs and minutes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what did you get now after dividing?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8.5 hrs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats 8 hrs and 30minutes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i did get it right. lol thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because when u divide u get a decimal which can be for example .75, which is not in minutes so what u do is to multiple the decimal by 60
