one half of the content of a big box measuring 60cm long 40cm wide and 40cm high are small boxes each measuring 6cm long 4cm wide and 4cm high. how many small boxes are inside the box?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

L X W X H= volume. 1/2 of the box content is filled with the smaller boxed. so (60 X 40 X 40) divided by 2 = value 1 (volume of total volume that the little boxes can fit in) ~~~ Then the volume of one small box = 6 X 4 X 4 = value 2 ~~~ Value 1 / value 2 = number of little boxes that can fit in the larger box (answer)
