Choose the correct pattern for the following sentence.

1. Electric cars take several hours to recharge.

B. S-V-IO (subject, verb, indirect object)
C. S-V-N (subject, verb, predicate noun/noun)
D. S-V-A (subject, verb, adjective)

I personally think it's 'D', but I'm completely unsure... I'd appreciate some feedback and an explanation, thank you!

Thanks for the replies! But I really need an explanation as to why it would be correct so if I ever have a question like this again, I'll understand it better (the textbook doesn't really explain it, it just shows me different patterns).

After taking a second look, I think the answer might be C.

Subject: Electric cars
Verb: take
Noun: recharge

Actually I don't know.. apparently the text book says the 'N' stands for predicate nominative.. Shouldn't it have been PN then? I assumed it meant 'noun'.
