Example A: 2n + 3 = 13 Example B: n + 3 = 13 Which example is a one-step equation? How is solving a two-step equation like solving one-step equation? How is solving them different?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B would be a one step because that is all it takes to get x by itself. In contrast, A is a 2 steps because it takes 2 steps to get x by itself. I would say they are similar because both examples require the same initial step.
