***HELP PLEASE*** Jason paid five times as much for his computer as he did for his printer. He paid a total of $1320 for both items. What did each item cost?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

set up an equation first. 5x = 1320. x is the amount that the printer cost. do you know how to solve for x?

OpenStudy (cgreenwade2000):

@AriPotta That is actually an incorrect equation. The printer, we'll call p. The computer, we'll call c. c+p=1320 c=5p So therefore, (5p) + p = 1320

OpenStudy (aripotta):

hm alright. sorry :/
