Find the solution to the following system of equations using any method. x+2y=3 2x+4y=1 ***I'm a bit confused. Please explain! Thanks :)

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

confused where?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

in picking the method?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, I tried different ways, but I'm not getting the answer. like I got x=-2y+3 and substituted it in the equation but it ended up canceling the variable... how do i solve?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

if you substitutute x = -2y + 3 you should get 2(-2y + 3) + 4y = 1 right?
