the speed of light in a vacuum is 2.998 X 10 to the 8th power m/s. Calculate it's speed in miles per hour

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, there are ~1609.34 meters per mile and 3600 seconds to an hour. So, converting would look like: 2.998m/1s x 1mi/1609.34m x 3600s/1hr = 6.706x10^8mi/hr
