Having a hard time making a table and equation for this problem: Suppose Lenny and George started with two rabbits that had two babies every month thereafter, each pair of rabbits had two babies. How many rabbits would they have at then end of the year?

you can start with that... but it gets a lot more interesting once the babies start having babies :)
It would be 2 twice?
Ohh! Got it. How would you write an equation for something like that though?
Well, for starters, I guessed that you were supposed to count rabbits... you didn't actually ask a question, so before you go further, you need to say what you are supposed to find an equation for.
For the rabbits, I need an equaition for the table,
for "total rabbits" or "pairs of rabbits" or what?
Sorry, the rabbits on the table. The porblem says: Determine how man rabbits Lenny and George would have after 1 year. Show this in an table and equation.
Actually, my table is messed up... after 1 month, you have 2 original rabbits plus 2 babies or 4 total
After month 2, the original rabbits had 2 more babies, and the month 1 babies had 2 babies. So you have original 2 + 2 "month 1 babies" + 4 new babies = 8 total rabbits
Month 3 brings 2 new rabbits for each of the 4 pairs of rabbits at the end of month 2, so 8 new rabbits, and a total of 8 existing + 8 new = 16 rabbits.
I don't understand how to write an equation from that though. I have the table down now. But not sure how to make an equation of it.
what are the numbers of rabbits at the end of each month? Can you type out the first 6 months or so (or all 12)?
