how many square inches in 3900 sf

OpenStudy (aripotta):

the whole room needs to be painted, or just one wall?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the whole room/ all four walls

OpenStudy (aripotta):

ok...i don't understand "45' x 150' and 10 feet high"

OpenStudy (aripotta):

a wall is 2d so we don't need three dimensions...

OpenStudy (aripotta):

if the wall is 45 ft by 150 ft, then that, i can understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its a large room you do need to know how high, so you need three dimenions. the surface area is 3900 ft.

OpenStudy (aripotta):

i don't understand, so i can't help :/ i'm sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

awesome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the floor is 45 by 150. this shows that it is not a perfect square room. so the 10 feet does factor into this. one set of walls will be 45 by 10 feet. (note to convert the feet) and the other set will be 150 by 10 feet. so basically 2(45 inches x 10 ft) + 2(150in x 10 ft)

OpenStudy (aripotta):

so they're painting the floor too?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they are no painting the floor. we figured out it takes 9.75 gallons to paint the four walls.

OpenStudy (aripotta):

...ok. i'm glad you got that answer :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its 3900 sf of space to paint.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the other guy is wrong
