caculative examples on force

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Force: A force is a push or pull that can cause an object with mass to accelerate. Force Formula : \[F= m \times a \]where, F = Force, m = Mass, a = Acceleration Force Example: Case 1: What force is required to accelerate an object having a mass of 4 kg at 7 m/s2? m = 4 kg, a = 7 m/s2 Step 1: Substitute the values in the below force formula: \[F = m \times a = 4 \times 7 = 28N\] Case 2: What would be the acceleration of an object with a mass of 20 kg when hit with a force of 100 N? F = 100 N, m = 20 kg Step 1: Substitute the values: \[F = m \times a \]\[100 = 20 \times a \]\[a = \frac{ 100 }{ 20 } = 5ms^{-2}\]
