what is the value of x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

very condescending @franciscanmonk . I'me sure they were getting to it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

really...? at least give us enough clue to answer your question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it tells me to justify each step and the math is AB+BC=AC ,AB is 2x ,BC is 6x+8 ,AC =32 but they already did the math for me so an I'm suppose to rewrite it or what

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's a proof. You must prove each step of the solution. Is that how everyone interprets it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you that helps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2x + 6x + 8 = 32 Segment Addition postulate or given 8x + 8 = 32 Addition 8x = 24 Subtraction x = 3 Division ===simplification

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you that helped me and made more since with the lesson they were doing thank you franciscanmonk
