What is the inverse of the following statement? If I live in Stockholm, then I live in Sweden.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If I don't live in Sweden, then I don't live in Stockholm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If I dont live in Stockholm, then I don't live in Sweden. :) Inverse just makes the two parts negative.

But that wouldn't make sense :P

OpenStudy (amistre64):

An inverse does not always have the same truth value as the original

OpenStudy (amistre64):

...and, i often feel that it is misnamed :/ in math, and inverse undoes a process; so my gut always wants me to just flip the p and q about; but since i know thats wrong, my only other option is to negate the p and q instead

^^ I know what you mean. I was about to write it just the inverse, like with math, but mmm it just didn't make sense to me :( So I changed it XD
