OMG I NEED HELP PLZZ.. Nathan, Joshua, Michelle, and Denise were in a room where a porcelain vase was found broken. When an inquiry was conducted by the building caretaker, each made a statement. Nathan: Michelle broke the vase. Joshua: Nathan did it. Michelle: Nathan lied when he said Michelle did it. Denise: I did not do it. The caretaker knew that only one statement is not true and concluded that Joshua broke the vase. Describe in complete sentences the method you use to show that the caretaker made an incorrect conclusion.
You found this in a math book most likely, but in all honesty, if you just think about it, then you can find the answer.
umm actually I got off flvs school but i really dont get it
Nathan: Michelle broke the vase. Joshua: Nathan did it. Michelle: Nathan lied when he said Michelle did it. Denise: I did not do it. Nathan said Michelle did it, but Michelle said Nathan Lied. Now Joshua said that Nathan did it, but Nathan said that Michelle did it, and Michelle said he lied. So Nathan is lying, we know that. Denise said he did not do it, so from this we can conclude that Nathan did it.
ohh ok i kinda see how it all go now but they're also asking me for the method i use, would that be converse method?
"Theres no verbal evidence here that denise didnt do it and josh and michelle contradicted eachother. No one has made the effort to refute nathans statement and denise is clearly trying to direct attention away from herself by expressing her opinion on josh and michelle's conflict so it is most likely denise who did it even if the caretaker came to this conclusion in an incorrect fashion." - Anonymous
"Nathan's and Michelle's statements contradict each other so one of the them must be the liar. Therefore, Joshua is telling the truth. Therefore, Nathan broke the vase." - Anonymous Do you understand now?
oh ok yea i do, wow it all make sense now, thanks alot
