Do not use Google chrome to log in to open study that is creating major problems I have found out. Just passing along the info. Use internet Exploer and the problem goes away..

I'm using Chrome, and Open Study is smooth
Only problem is with latex.

I would advise against this actually. In my humble opinion, Chrome is many orders of magnitude better than IE. On top of that, the site is specifically written for "modern" browsers (all the developers use webkit browsers - chrome and safari). 

What major problems are you referring to? Perhaps you have some questionable extensions installed on Chrome that are hogging resources.
