how to find domain and range of y=sinx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't think you find it, but rather you know it the domain is all real numbers, and the range is between -1 and 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sometimes, there isn't much left to be said :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The domain is all real numbers. The range is -1 to 1.. Think about a sin wave when answering this.. the domain is what possible X values you can get and the range is the possible Y values.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

makes sense. what about y=\[\sqrt{x+1}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(-1, infinity) for the domain (remember, you can't take the square root of a negative number or zero) range is (0 to infinity) Open brackets to show that it doesn't include the -1 or the 0 :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you put it in an x and y table to solve it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@tkurian1290 ... @Yiano is right on... pay close attention :) Turns out there is more to be said...
