In three times the supp. of an angle is subtracted from seven times the comp. of the angle, the answer is the same as that obtained by trisecting a right angle. find the supplement pleasee help :)) The answer is 165 degrees i just need to show my work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let the angle be 'x' let the sup of angle be 'x - 180'/'180 - x' hence compliment of sup will be ( x - 90 ) or (90 - x) trisecting the right angle mean each angle is 30 degree hence as per the question, 3(x - 180) - 7(x - 90) = 30 3x - 540 - 7x + 630 = 30 4x = 60 x = 15 degree that is the angle is 15 degree you need the sup, hence 180 - x is the sup that is 165

Thanks :))
