OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

@pizzapi Official unemployment statistics UNDERSTATE the true unemployment problem when: A) Unemployment is frictional rather than structural in nature B) People are not working or actively seeking work, but claim to be when asked by government surveyors C) Underemployed workers are counted among the employed and there are discouraged workers D) The BLS is unable to contact some of the households randomly selected for the survey

OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

I'm leaning towards B? Because even my teacher said she was "looking for work" when she was 7 months pregnant, just to show that she is "looking for work" to get unemployment.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, I think you are right, not sure about this one

OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

Either B or C..

OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

I'm going with C.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep. it is C actually, misread Underemployed as unemployed
