Yep, so if you ever have to either square or reduce something using a square root finds the source number or squaring a number finds the number times itself, which in terms of say square ft means the length(L) times the width(W), (L)1260x(W)1260, thus LxW = Square of the initial value. 2x2 = 4 meaning the space in a square with sides of 2, equals 4, if cm it means that this square has 4cm of area within in.
