A rectangle is 5 feet longer than it is wide. The perimeter of the rectangle is 34 feet. What is the length of the rectangle?

how did you get it?

I was checking numbers that added to 34 and I put 6 as my length for two sides (12) then I got 11 for two sides the width (22)
