OpenStudy (anonymous):

4-d=-(d-4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it looks like that in the book

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright, start by distributing that - sign. What does the problem look like after doing that?

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

make the signs in the parentheses opposite then get isolate d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait what am i distributing..?

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

the negative sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh sorry thanks kinda sloww lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 4-d=d+4 what do i after that

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

Actually if the problem looks like this 4-d=-(d-4) and you distribute the negative sign (your giving it to both numbers You would end up with 4 - d = -d +4

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

after that you need to get d by itself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhso in order to get d by itself do i subtract d from the both sides or noo..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh so*

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

yes you subtract 4 from both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 0=d did i do it correctly..?

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

Yeah everything kinda cancelled out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah thanks a lot
