Jesse and Tanya dock their sailboat in an ocean area named Rock Port. Their boat reaches 1 m below the water line. They carefully watch the tides to determine their sailing times so they will not run aground. At 10 A.M. the water is at high tide. The depth of the water is 1.5 m during high tide and 0.7 m during low tide. Low tide occurs at 6 p.m. Since this behavior is periodic, Jesse and Tanya decide to write an equation to predict the sailing times. Help them determine the coefficients A, B, C, and D. y = A sin[B(x – C)] + D
