well i believe so as i read somewhere that 2.7 is better than 3.0 for educational purposes.
but even if they want the 3.0 u can always download the 3.0 version from the same site.

Actually I thought that they recommend the 2.5 version as the 3.0 version is incompatible with the course at this time. Is 2.7.4 okay then for this course?

if i had to choose between 2.5 and 2.7 id choose 2.7 (as i did)...as for what 6.00x will ask i dont know.

2.5 and 2.7 nothing much different the most important don't just use 3.x bcz it's different , much different spécially in syntax

thanks  I decided to choose the newest 2 version. 2.7.3 as it apparently has the latest security updates
