Which quantities are NOT constant in uniform circular motion? Select all that apply. Answer 1. Angular Velocity 2. Angular position 3. Direction of the centripetal acceleration 4. Magnitude of the tanagential velocity 5. Number of revolutions per second

direction keeps changing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

angular position and direction of centripetal acceleration...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The definition of UNIFORM circular motion is that angular acceleration (acceleration of angular velocity) is =0, but tangential acceleration of tangential velocity is nonzero (although he magnitude is the same, it is the direction changing- remember, v is a vector, so acceleration can simply be change in direction).

Does a satellite have inertial frame of reference or non-inertial?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

centripital acceleration is always to the center

OpenStudy (anonymous):

inertial it will keep moving until something changes it direction it is in free fall
