You have been asked to create a sign for Sonic and have been given a 4 in by 6 in logo to enlarge. Your boss told you to make sure the ratio of the logo to the billboard was 2 inches:15 inches. What are the dimensions of the logo on the billboard? A. 35 in by 40 in B. 35 in by 45 in C. 30 in by 40 in D. 30 in by 45 in

Sonic! yea!

Do these type of problems as ratios: For the side that is 6 inches, it needs to get bigger... 6 x (15 / 2) = 45 inches For the side that is 4, it will be 4 x (15/2) = 30 inches. Current length x ratio = new length

does that make sense, @alainabbyboo22 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait nevermind , i see now !

Good :) Just make sure you set up that ratio correctly. If you accidentally listed it as (2/15), you would shrink your sign down... just have to think about the problem and make sure the ratio is correctly set to give the effect you want.
