A 30-60-90 triangle has a hypotenuse of 10. Use special right triangle formulas to find the long side.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

From special right triangle formulas I know the ratios of the sides. 1,2,sqrt(3) where 2 is the hypotenuse and the long side is sqrt(3) so the long side is 10/2*sqrt(3)=5sqrt(3) all done PS short side is 5

DLS is not correct

OpenStudy (dls):

why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a 3,4,5 triangle is a perfect triangle for the Pythagorean theorem but not necessarily at 30,60,90 degrees.
