a right cylinder has a diameter of 40 mm and a height of 30 mm? what is the volume?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

So to get the volume of the cylinder, we want to find the AREA of the top, and multiply that by the height! :) The area of a circle is\[A=\pi r^2\] Hmm looks like we need to find the Radius. They gave us the Diameter in this problem, what can we do with that? :)
