how do you find speed from a position graph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take the derivative!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The speed is the slope. Choose two points, and divide the change in the Y values (position) over the change in the x values (time).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i thought the slope of a position graph gives you velocity?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Velocity is speed :)
